Dr. Mitchell Evans grew up in a small city called Dunkirk, NY; just outside of Buffalo, NY. Throughout high school and middle school he enjoyed the outdoors and sports. Some of his fondest memories involved going camping with family and friends although his mother Derene Evans couldn’t be convinced to go. As a child, if Dr. Evans was not in school or playing sports, he could be found at a creek catching and if he was lucky a turtle. Along the banks of the creek, he also liked to look under rocks for newts and Gardner snakes. His favorite sports as a child included playing basketball, wrestling, swimming, and running. He started playing tennis as a college student and just recently picked up some golf. It was a sports injury that drew him to a chiropractic office. The pain was in his back and sometimes traveled down the back of his legs. As a young adult, his mother did not want him to start taking aspirin or any other pain killer every day. After two weeks of care Dr. Evans was feeling much better and able to go back to sports.
The Chiropractor that treated Dr. Evans was known by all the high school athletes and many local colleges in the community. Due to his love for the outdoors and animals Dr. Evans attended Fredonia State University in Western New York as a biology major. As a college student he got involved with a service fraternity to help the community. Dr. Evans decided to get involved with the Big Brother Big Sister Program to be a friend of a child that did not have a father in his life. He also coached basketball for the local Boys and Girls Club. At Fredonia State University he did two internships. One involved working at a small chocolate and variegates company called NOG and the other one was at his chiropractor’s office. Dr. Evans enjoyed testing, tasting and making different samples of chocolate but  loved the idea of treating patients like his chiropractor did.  He was willing to spend another 4 more years at a chiropractic college to achieve this goal.
He attended Life University just outside Atlanta, Georgia for one year and finished the last 3 years at Logan Chiropractic College just outside St. Louis, Missouri. He spent his last year as a Senior Intern treating patients at one of Logan Chiropractic College’s five clinics. He also performed physicals and treated patients at one of St. Louis’s free clinics called St. Patrick Center. Now Dr. Evans has come to Greensboro, and is looking forward to helping as many people as possible. He has always wanted to live in North Carolina because of the friendly people and great weather. He chose Greensboro because he already had friends and family living here whom he grew up with. Let’s welcome Dr. Mitchell Evans to the community and wish him good luck with all his adventures. If you have question for Dr. Evans or would like to visit his office, call (336)547-8811. He is currently taking new patients, and would love to help you with achieving ultimate wellness and health.
